Volunteer at YMCA Milton Keynes

YMCA Milton Keynes currently has volunteer vacancies for people who would like to work with our hostel residents. These are young adults who have recently been homeless and have found their way to the YMCA.

We are looking for volunteers who can work with our weekend staff on Saturdays between 4:30pm and 10:00pm and Sundays between 8:00am to 4:30pm. If you could offer a couple of hours during these times it would be greatly appreciated. You could just be talking to residents, playing a game of pool or table tennis or even helping with an on-line job application. This is very rewarding work and you could make a huge, positive difference to the life of a young person.

We are also looking for weekend cooks to prepare an evening meal for up to 25 residents on Saturdays and Sundays. The meal is usually served at 5:30pm. We are looking for people who have had some experience of cooking for groups of people be that from a commercial background or community groups such as a lunch club or church group. Even if you could only help once a month this would be very much appreciated.

For both these opportunities contact Kathy on 01908 295600 or kathy@mkymca.com
