We are looking for a humble, hard-working and emotionally intelligent HR Manager to join our team. Working closely with the Chief Executive and line managers, the HR Manager will lead, direct and develop all people related activities, ensuring that they all embody the YMCA Milton Keynes & Northamptonshire mission and core values, and are legally compliant. The HR Manager acts as first point of contact for HR and provides effective support and guidance on best practice. Responsibilities include recruitment & retention, employee relations, learning and development, pay and benefits, health and wellbeing, HR database and compliance, and overseeing all related administration with the support of the HR Administrator.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR Manager who is comfortable working in a standalone environment, CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent. You will need excellent influencing skills, an ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment, and great attention to detail. Experience of working in a similar sized charity would be beneficial.
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 depending on qualifications, skills and experience
Hours: up to full time hours (37.5 hours per week)
