Employment Coach

At YMCA, we believe young people will gain meaning & purpose, a sense of belonging, status, and achievement from gaining aspirational employment. Because of this, employment is central to the success of our housing service designed to support young people to belong, contribute and thrive and move on to independence.

As our Employment Coach, you will take responsibility for working with our Complex Needs Workers, Activities team, and Housing Management team, to support a target of 75 young residents who live at our campus into meaningful & sustainable employment each year.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated and have a background in supporting young people with complex needs into employment. They will develop a network of local employers, businesses and training providers to connect our young people to find aspirational opportunities.

The role is 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis including occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays.  The role is based at YMCA Milton Keynes with some travel to YMCA Northamptonshire.  To start as soon as possible. Salary £28,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
