At MK YMCA we offer a range of accommodation and support services for young adults aged 18 – 35. Our mission is to help all of our residents to belong, contribute and thrive.
We provide all our residents with a home, shared laundry facilities, and recreational space including communal computers, satellite television, and pool tables.
All of our residents benefit from free gym membership, an exciting resident activities programme, a resident incentive scheme, and a contributory savings scheme. We hold regular social activities which are a great way to meet other residents and have fun.
All MK YMCA residents have a dedicated support worker who will work with you to set and work towards the achievement of individualised goals while you are living with us. In addition our resident activity programme is designed to develop independent living skills, wellbeing, and employability.
Applicants should be aged 18 – 35 and if not in employment or education then should be prepared to work with their support worker so that we can help you to achieve this. Further details of our lettings criteria can be provided on request.
Our Housing Pathway
Our housing structure is designed as a pathway to independence with reducing levels of support and rent charges.
Stage 1 accommodation is available to anyone who is experiencing homelessness and consists of 23 beds in shared rooms with shared living facilities. This accommodation is fully catered. You can hear testimonials from former MK YMCA hostel residents here: videolink
Stage 2 accommodation is a range of 123 x self-contained studio or 1-bed flats. Priority for this accommodation is given to residents of our Stage 1 accommodation who have effectively engaged in our resident support programme or young people in employment who are homeless.
Stage 3 accommodation has moved on away from our main site, either in properties that we own or manage or in the private rented sector.
