With 199 rooms, meeting areas, training rooms and social enterprises, we’re looking to expand our team to ensure we have the resources and expertise required to deliver our mission; helping local young people to belong, contribute and thrive.
The Hostel Manager oversees the work of the Hostel Support staff and the well-being of our residents. The post holder should manage, support and coach each member of the Hostel Support staff to ensure that the service provided to YMCA MK residents is exceptional. They should also work towards ensuring that YMCA MK is a positive place for our young people to belong, contribute and thrive.
To oversee the employment activities focused on the residents of the Stage 2 cluster / foyer accommodation.
To manage a team of staff focused on delivering employment related support to these residents.
To develop relationships with employers, training providers, and others to create opportunities for unemployed residents of YMCA Milton Keynes (YMCA MK).
To work with the Activities Coordinator, other YMCA MK staff, volunteers, and other organisations to ensure that activities and opportunities are provided to residents that develop confidence, self-esteem and motivation levels.
Salary: £23,000 – £25,000
To ensure that common resident needs are addressed through a programme of activity that inspires, motivates, and builds confidence amongst the young people with whom we work.
To ensure that a range of fun, exciting, and inspiring activities are on offer to YMCA MK residents.
To offer a varied programme of activities and skills that collaborates with other areas of life including volunteering opportunities, independent living skills and a range of health and wellbeing activities
