Revolutionising mental health support for local young people
YMCA Milton Keynes is proud to announce that our Mental Wealth programme has won Support & Advice Project of the Year at the Youth Matters Awards. The service, launched in 2023, provides timely support to our residents with a range of complex mental health issues.
What is Mental Wealth?
The Mental Wealth program offers residents access to an expert multi-disciplinary team, including a psychologist and a specialist mental health nurse. This on-site support allows for the diagnosis and treatment of common conditions such as ADHD and ASD.
Since December 2023, 83 residents have accessed mental health services made available through the Mental Wealth programme (as of October 2024).
We extend our gratitude to the National Lottery Community Fund, who have been instrumental in making mental health support more accessible to young people. We would also like to thank MakeWell, whose partnership has made this project a reality.
Congratulations to all the winners
A big congratulations to all the nominees and winners at the Youth Matters Awards! Your dedication to supporting young people across the UK is truly inspiring, and we are honoured to be recognised alongside other YMCA’s.
