YMCA Milton Keynes is thrilled to announce that our first-ever Charity Golf Day, held at the picturesque Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club was a success.
Thanks to the incredible support of our teams, sponsors, volunteers, and dedicated fundraising team, we raised an impressive £6,200 to support our vital work with young people in Milton Keynes.
The day was filled with friendly competition, challenges, and most importantly, a shared commitment to making a difference in our community. Teams enjoyed a tasty breakfast to fuel their full day of golf, followed by a delicious dinner, raffle prizes, and inspiring speeches from Sammy, Mental Wealth and our CEO, Simon Green.
A huge thanks to our headline sponsor Aiimi.
“Since we partnered with the YMCA over a year ago now, we have continued to look for opportunities to support with initiatives such as SoupFest and our volunteering programmes. So, when the opportunity to sponsor the first ever YMCA Golf Day came about, it felt like a no brainer. It was an absolutely fantastic day, brilliantly organised by the YMCA team and with lots of little touches to make the day extra interesting (the champagne challenge on hole 10 was a particular favourite). We can’t wait to come back next year! (And hopefully go for the win this time!)” Aiimi.
The funds raised will support so many great causes, including:
- Providing safe accommodation for young people experiencing homelessness
- Offering mental health support
- Practical support into employment
- Ensuring opportunities for development
Your support enables us to continue our mission of empowering young people and strengthening our community.
“A huge thank you to everyone who supported the first-ever YMCA MK Golf Day. It was wonderful to welcome the 17 teams who came together to enjoy a great day’s golf, raising money for YMCA Milton Keynes. We are delighted to announce that the day raised £6,200 to support young people in our community, giving them a safe place to call home and the support they need to fulfil their potential.
Our heartfelt thanks to our headline sponsor Aiimi, drinks sponsor Minerva Money Management, and all the hole sponsors and players for their generosity on the day. We are looking forward to building on the success of the day and are already planning next year’s Golf Day!” Rosalind Lee, Head of Fundraising.
