When an organisation chooses to support YMCA MK as a Corporate Partner, it is making a lasting impact on the lives of local young people.

The need for support from our local business community has never been greater:

  • Since the pandemic, our waiting list for housing has grown by 50%
  • We rely on donations and grants to fund our employment, mental health and wellbeing services.

It is only with the support of the local business community that we can expand and develop new services. More importantly, thanks to the relationships we have built over the years, our residents have been provided the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and sustainable employment with local employers. That is why we want to build on our corporate relationships in 2022.

Through our Corporate Partnerships Scheme, organisations can support YMCA MK in one of two ways:

  1. Become a Champion of Young People in MK. We want to work with organisations that can help us lift young people out of homelessness and into employment. If you can provide our residents with work experience and/or employment opportunities, you will be recognised as a Champion of Young People in MK.
  2. Become a Corporate Partner. From fundraising to build awareness of the important work we do, our corporate partners are vital in helping us to support our young people. Raising a small amount from a bake sale to a larger amount from a Corporate Golf Day, you could become a Bronze, Silver or Gold Corporate Partner.

Joining our Corporate Partnerships Scheme is a mutually beneficial experience, as Chris Bridgman of Bridgman & Bridgman LLP explains:

“Bringing three YMCA residents into our team as trainees has been a great experience, not only for them but also for our staff. Their motivation and willingness to learn and be part of the company has been brilliant, as has the opportunity to pass on skills and teach people a new trade. I highly

recommend offering training and development opportunities to young people. I would also like to thank the YMCA staff who have been incredibly supportive throughout.”
