Milton Keynes YMCA provides supported emergency accommodation for people in crisis. We have a homeless hostel with 20 emergency beds for people between the ages of 16 – 65 years. We also have 123 residential flats for young people 18 – 34 years seeking long term accommodation.

9.00am – 5.00 pm
Housing Reception: 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday
Hostel Enquiries: 7.00am – 9.00pm for telephone enquiries or by intercom (located by our Hostel entrance) Monday – Sunday including Bank Holidays. To qualify for emergency accommodation, you must be aged between 16 – 65 years and be able to pay or receive benefits. Even if you are experiencing financial difficulties, we can still help you.
Our Hostel is usually fully occupied and if you require our help please continue to contact us regularly so that we know that you are still in need.
What documents do I need to bring?
We do require 2 forms of identification – although if this is not possible, please contact us and we will discuss alternative options. Photo Identification: Passport or Driving licence Address Identification: Evidence of your current address e.g. Bank or Benefits statement, utility bill, payslip.
How much will it cost? What if I can’t pay?
£33.42 per day
(including food and accommodation)
If you are receiving State Benefits then this will cover the charge although you will be required to pay £13.03 per week personal contribution. If you are unable to meet these payments, please contact Reception on 01908 295600.
How long can I stay?
We move people into suitable accommodation as soon as possible and aim to do this for all hostel service users within 8 weeks however no service user will be asked to leave until suitable accommodation has been found for them.
What’s expected of me and what help can I get?
We offer one to one support from fully qualified staff following assessment and have a range of Supported Services either on-site or with other partner organisations.
We offer short term accommodation for 20 people. Room key provided with personal locker, bedding and toiletries. Breakfast and dinner provided. Full use of on-site facilities: shower, laundry, communal lounge area with internet access, pool table, music, television and film library. games console and free gym membership. Private courtyard garden.
We also offer a range of daily resident activities
